Hoda Kotb isn't just saying goodbye to the "Today" show after 17 years — she's rewriting her story. In January 2025, the beloved co-anchor left her post to focus on new priorities, and now we're getting a glimpse into her exciting plans. Spoiler alert: They involve a whole lot of transformation, connection, and maybe even a touch of that "woo-woo" she's come to embrace.

From Breaking News to Breaking New Ground

On the Jan. 6, 2025, episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Hoda described her new business venture as "a wellness app and company that will involve retreats and a podcast," as reported by NBC New York. But this isn't your typical weekend getaway. Hoda explained, "It's not like going to Mexico with your girls, which is fun, but this is something that when you leave, you'll go like, 'Oh my gosh. I feel transformed. I feel different,'" as reported by E! News.

The idea grew from her own wellness journey, where she skeptically tried practices that seemed a bit alternative. But those practices worked. "I started doing stuff that I thought seemed woo-woo and weird," Hoda said, according to NBC New York. "Then all of a sudden, as I was doing it, I was like, 'Wait, I feel calmer. I feel better.' Woo-woo makes you feel good."

While she's still building the business, it's clear Hoda's mission is bigger than wellness trends — it's about helping others rediscover themselves.

Why Family Time Took the Spotlight

Hoda's shift away from the "Today" show wasn't just about career reinvention. It was a deliberate choice to prioritize her daughters, Haley Joy, 7, and Hope Catherine, 5. In her September 2024 announcement, she shared, "I feel like we only have a finite amount of time," as noted by NBC New York.

Her new routine includes moments she once only dreamed of — early morning SoulCycle classes, breakfast with her girls, and walking them to school. "I'm going to walk my kids down the beautiful streets to their school and I'm going to kiss them goodbye," she told E! News in October 2024, as reported by Just Jared.

Wellness, Connection, and a Dash of Woo-Woo

Hoda's new venture isn't just about relaxation — it's about transformation. With retreats that leave people feeling renewed, a podcast diving into meaningful conversations, and an app offering practical tools, she's bringing a fresh perspective to wellness. Her approach? Make it accessible, impactful, and authentic.

By stepping away from a demanding career, Hoda's leaning into a life that blends her passions and values. It's a move that might seem bold, but for her, it's simply the next step in a life well-lived.

Hoda's journey reminds us all: Sometimes, the best way forward starts with pressing pause, reimagining what matters, and saying yes to change. As she builds her wellness empire, one thing's clear — she's taking us along for the ride, and we're here for it.
