Meghan Markle talked about starting a new "chapter" in her new Netflix® lifestyle show, and some viewers thought her comments were a subtle jab at the royal family, according to the New York Post.

'With Love, Meghan'

The Duchess of Sussex is the main focus of a new eight-part series on Netflix called "With Love, Meghan." The show gives viewers a look at the relaxed lifestyle she seems to share with Prince Harry and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet. The series is part of the couple's $100 million deal with Netflix, following their docuseries "Harry & Meghan," which had over 2.4 million viewers on its first day in December 2022.

Markle, who was actress best known for her role on the TV show "Suits," decided to take a break from her entertainment career after marrying Prince Harry in May 2018 and starting a family a year later. However, the couple has slowly been returning to the public eye after stepping down from their roles as senior members of the royal family, which led them to move from the U.K. to Los Angeles in January 2020.

'Raise a Glass'

In the final episode of the series, Markle seemed to talk about her return as she gave a speech to her friends and family, including Harry and her mother, Dora Ragland. "I just want to raise a glass to you guys," she said, as reported by the New York Post. "This feels like a new chapter that I'm so excited that I'm able to share and I've been able to learn from all of you. So I just thank you for all the love and support."

New York Surprise

Before the show was released on the streaming platform, Markle visited New York City to surprise her longtime fans at a private screening of "With Love, Meghan." "A surprise in the Big Apple tonight," she wrote on social media, posting a video of herself walking into a room full of fans who didn't expect her. "They don't know I'm coming," she said in another video just before the surprise, according to the New York Post. Markle's fans proved how dedicated they are, with some even showing off their "As Ever" tattoos to celebrate the actress' new lifestyle brand.

Comeback From Unrenewed Podcast

The documentary comes three years after Spotify ended Meghan Markle's "Archetypes" podcast, which launched after she signed a big three-year deal with the streaming service in late 2020. The deal, which was estimated to be worth around $18 million, was meant to have the couple host and produce several podcasts. However, "Archetypes" was not renewed for a second season, and the deal ended. Later, Spotify's head of podcast innovation, Bill Simmons, called the couple "grifters," according to The Independent.

Meghan Markle's new Netflix series offers a closer look at her life with Prince Harry and their family. It shows their more personal side, giving fans a chance to see how they live outside of the spotlight. The series highlights Meghan's journey as she starts a new chapter in her life, focusing on love, family, and creativity. As the couple continues to carve out their own path after stepping away from royal duties, the show gives viewers a chance to see their story from a different perspective.
